Large! Grateful Dead RFK '73 Poster - Very Rare - Personality Posters # 424 Bought in early/mid '70s. The first ones were printed backwards(!). They figured out that it was printed backwards and quickly reissued the poster oriented correctly - one of my pictures shows both a backwards poster (not for sale in this listing) and this one that's printed correctly. Another photo shows the used printed correctly VERSION that is being sold in this listing, but the one for sale in this listing is unopened in original shrink wrap sleeve. The poster/sleeve does not appear to have been crushed crumpled in the 45-50 years I've had it in storage. A few photos from RFK 6/10/73 (not for sale) confirm show date. 50th Anniversary of this show was on Saturday June 10 (2023). It was a true classic, one of the few shows with both a 'Bird Song' and a 'Here Comes Sunshine', two '73 highlights. Recently released in a box set. The Dead played RFK on a double bill with the Allman Brothers. The day before (6/9/73) the Dead opened and the Allmans followed. On Sunday the 10th the Dead played second and there were a few tunes with players from both bands at the end. It was my 18th show and by far my largest Dead venue to date. General Admission; people went where they wanted. The vandalism set was up in the nosebleed balcony heaving glass bottles down onto the field. And there were narcs in the skyboxes with binoculars scouting for drug dealers... but musically, it was, and is, a superlative show!Shipping to lower 48 continental US states only.
