Original Silver Steal Your Face belt buckle by Owsley StanleyMade in 1983 for friends and family of the gratest show on earth, the Grateful Dead.This came from Bear's #6 mold.The numbers were Bear's way of doing quality control. There were 6 miles total, and if a buckle came out a a flaw, then the number on the back just let him know which of the 6 molds was having  a problem. So a #6 is not worth less than a #2, etc. they are all as valuable as each other.
In last few years, fakes have hit the eBay market. As with anything valuable, eventually someone will attempt a knock-off.
