This Altec/HP 8050A real time analyzer is a huge piece of
Grateful Dead history I used from the 1970’s through the 1990’s. It is one of three pieces of equipment I
carried with me and used each and every show for probably better than a thousand
shows. It is more than an heirloom. It is a prominent piece of the cultivation of
the sound of the Grateful Dead representing our Grateful Dead history. It still
functions even though it bears the story of many shows and many good times. Somewhere
