' Dead-Shirt for Any " Deadhead " !!!!!Amazing ! still Brand New 1989 Grateful Dead Shirt featuring the Classic ! " The Dead Heads !!! " 1980 ( Mouse / Kelley ) logo ! - with ' Bertha Skull & Roses !! ' ... which 1st appeared in 1980 !!!Dead Fans ! ... or, what am I thinking -- " Dead Heads " !!!!! Ha ! Well, if you happen to remember the origin of this Beauty ! of a G.D. logo vividly ... then you are either a serious Dead Tour Vet ! - or, you've just got a Grate ! Memory !! ... or, maybe - both !! As indeed ... this T-Shirt logo itself dates back to right where the 1970's turned to the 1980's !!! As, this design was used as one of the ' Main ' T-shirt designs for Quite ! the G.D. New Years Eve event ... at the Oakland Auditorium - on New Year's Eve 1979-1980 ! And, if you were there ... then this, you will ( might ? ) remember ?? -- Bill Graham - Father Time Himself ... flying out of a Giant Truck as a Butterfly !!! Kind of like a joint, but - a Butterfly !!! Classic ... And, if you were to pick up one of the Shirts at this Show, then - you had a shot to get this one ... with " The Dead Heads " Logo ! The ' Dead Heads ' on the front, and a ' Happy New Year 1980 ' thing - with even a ' Champagne bottle ' ( naturally ... ) on the backside. So, I suppose ? in honor of the right-around 10-Year-ish calendar thing ... this Logo-design was again issued in 1989 !!! That is exactly what you are looking at in these photos here - and this one is still Brand New !!! The 1979-80 Shirt was popularized on a ' Grey ' kind of athletic-style Shirt ... where has this '89 version is on White ! Which, in the opinion of myself - and possibly others ... much better highlights this Killer ! design !!! I mean this is Bertha Skull & Roses that we are talking about here ... showing-off for the Dead Heads !!! - and ! - in 1989 !!!!! ... which to my Deadhead - I mean " Dead Head ! " ear ... might just be the Band at their Best ! - now 35-Years-Ago !! I know, I know ... now here come the Purist messages ! Ahhhh ... just kidding.
