eBay Jerry Garcia’s personal test pressing of his 1982 solo album Run For the Roses. This test pressing was sold by Garcia’s widow, Deborah Koons Garcia, at a Bonhams auction of Garcia’s personal property.With a letter from Bonhams confirming that this test pressing was part of Lot 344 of the all-Garcia sale Alligator! A San Francisco Rock Star's Guitars, Art & More, and was ‘formerly the property of Jerry Garcia’, the original Bonhams exhibition card, a copy of the relevant catalog page, and Recordmecca’s written lifetime guarantee of authenticity [Note: this disc was part of a lot that included other discs, but we are only selling the test pressing pictured here.]Also included is a copy of the limited edition chapbook Why I Collect Beat-Up Old Records Owned by Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, and members of The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Velvet Underground and Grateful Dead, by Recordmecca's Jeff Gold; published by Jack White's Third Man Books. In it, Gold discusses the mojo of collecting artist-owned records, including others from Jerry Garcia's collection.We grade all records visually, cover first, then disc; using the abbreviations M / NM / EX / VG with + and -.
