Grateful Dead's " A Swell Dance" Concert Item which took place at the Nasseau Coliseum in Uniondale, New York This tour took place between Grateful Dead's tour of Europe in early 1972 and their release of "Wake of the Flood" (November, 1973). The art work and desgin of this Item was created by David Byrd.This is the Thalo-Aqua Blue background Item that I personally acquired at the concert in Nassau on March 15, 1973 which measures 24"x 36"It Measures 24" X 36".It is in Near Mint to Mint Condition (C9- C10)We grade our items according to the Iguide Universal 10-Point Grading Scale.C10 Mint - Investment quality. No perceptible flaws of any kind.C9 Near Mint - Investment quality. Minor flaw on an otherwise unused item. C8 Excellent - Investment quality. A few minor defects. Pin holes, small tears,etc. C7 Very Good to Excellent - Fine. Several defects. Still a very nicely preserved item.C6 Very Good - The typical used item in average condition. Several defectsC5 Good to Very Good - A heavily-worn item.C4 Good - Below average but still suitable for display.C3 Fair - Heavily worn, but yet still complete.C2 Poor to Fair - An extremely worn, possibly even incomplete item.C1 Poor - The lowest grade, representing items in the lowest possible condition.I also have the Thalo-Aqua Green backround that I acquired prior to the 1973 concert which was released before the concert and is on very thin stock and measures 25" x 38".Both are Very Rare 1973 posters. If you look at the back on both of these you can see we're the ink has settled through the back of the item over the last 50 years.It is Not a Reprinted Giclee Print nor Ink Jet Print. If you look with a loop you can see it is an offset lithograph similar to the pre- concert Item that is also an offset litho I both are 48 years old you can see on the back were the ink has settled with age browning on the edgesThere is a new reprint that was printed in 2008 .That reprint measures 20 3/8" x 30 7/8" this is definitely not that that one. Kept Flat, in a Smoke, Dust, and UV Light Free storage facility for over 48 years that has allowed the Colors to retain their Brilliancy without fading.Item will be shipped double tubed ( the item is wrapped around one tube in order to avoid kinks and any damage that might happen in handling; the second tube is on the outside for extra protection during shipping). Double tubing would cost extra, but we provide it free for our customers.
