This is a lot of 3 0riginal David Singer posters part of the Bill Graham Series concert posters for the Fillmore West in San Francisco:1 x BG-227 + 1 x BG-216 + 1 x BG-205The BG-227 is a Grateful Dead and Miles Davis concert poster from 1970. It’s widely considered the artist’s best example and is SIGNED by David Singer himself. It is a second printing that has great color and is in Near Mint- or Excellent + condition with only some handling creases. No holes, folds or staining.This second print poster was printed on glossy index stock and measures approximately 14? x 21?. There is a small script “w” after the notation “No. 227.”This poster has comparable sales from $350 to $450.The BG-216 Grateful Dead and Taj Mahal concert poster, also known as “The Mushroom Man”. Is a classic David Singer design advertised a Dead show at The Fillmore. Singer noted that the poster had a “. . . certain LSD mystique” with his collage of a man running towards the stars via the mushroom caps.This is an original poster 2nd printing on slick, glossy-coated index stock and measures approximately 14? x 22?. This poster has great color with no flaws. I grade it has near mint to near mint plus. Comparable sales are $200 to $300.The BG-205 is a poster advertisement for the Grateful Dead considered be one of Singer's finer works, this image warns of the danger of drugs. The message was that drugs could literally swallow a person in the way the man in the image was being obliterated by the red capsules. The concert is particularly memorable because Bill Graham, who was not a drug user, was clandestinely dosed by the Dead and ended up playing percussion on stage for three hours.The original poster was printed on slick, glossy-coated index stock and measures approximately 14? x 22?. Original posters have a ?? long horizontal black line in the center of the right margin. This is part of a printer’s “bull’s eye” that was not removed when the posters were trimmed.
