Grateful Dead Original Warlocks Concert Handbill Big Beat Acid Test 1965 RARE
Original, One-of-a-Kind, HAND DRAWN Warlocks Grateful Dead Handbill for the Big Beat Club, Dec. 18, 1965 - Guaranteed Authentic - 8 1/2" x 11" -- The earliest Acid Tests sometimes featured hand-drawn handbills and posters. This was the 3rd Acid Test, held at the Big Beat club. No other handbills for this event have ever turned up. Shortly after the collection was uncovered that featured this item, among several others, a poster and handbill set for the 2nd Acid Test showed up and another collector bought them both from Sue Swanson, Bobbies ex-GF and the founder of the Grateful Dead fan club. These two items are also one of a kind and were HAND DRAWN, very much like the Palo Alto Big Beat Handbill featured in this auction. Grateful Dead Artist, Stanley Mouse-original signed Watercolor Painting 1990
This one-of-a-kind watercolor was painted by the renowned Grateful Dead artist, Stanley Mouse, in 1990. I purchased it in 1991 from Stanley, when he had his art studio and store on Broadway in Sonoma, California. He told me then that he had never reproduced it, so it is truly a one-of-a-kind painting on the finest of watercolor paper. I bought it for my late husband for his Birthday, who was an avid Deadhead, and who collected rock 'n roll posters, which he framed and displayed on what we called our "rock wall". It was the center of his collection and remained on that wall until this year, 2023. It has been reframed with museum grade paper and backing to preserve it. (Condition: Brand New)
