Original Grateful Dead head shop poster Bob Fried art of rock 2.190 no reserve
Where there were pieces missing (upper left corner, lower right corner, a crescent bit approx. The finished product was now entirely stable enough to handle, and looking quite presentable. I had imagined hanging it from a ridge-beam, in a room of my house with vaulted ceilings, and lots of South-West facing windows; Up high enough to catch the afternoon light, and just far enough out of reach to impress my friends, without giving them the opportunity to study the flaws up close. But the new owner will undoubtedly have plans of their own. ).

So far I haven’t found a definite answer. I can provide the link with more information. Sold as is. Again, I’m no expert but it looks legit with the yellowing of the page. Look at the pictures carefully.

Soft Torn Aged Corners. Tears, Stains and Tack Holes. Please see Photos Unlike its San Francisco counterparts, the Grande Ballroom did not print huge quantities of handbills and posters for their concerts. Most people (especially those involved in the Detroit scene) attribute it to the fact that "Uncle Russ" was cheap. I have heard enough folks mention it that I do believe it to be true. Even if that is not the primary reason, there's no doubt that the Grande handbills and postcards are far rarer than the Fillmore & Avalon pieces of this era.The Grande BallroomThe Grande Ballroom is a historic live music venue located in the Petosky-Otsego neighborhood of Detroit, Michigan. In 1966 the The Grande was acquired by a Dearborn, Michigan, high school teacher and local radio DJ Russ Gibb. Gibb was inspired by visiting San Francisco's Fillmore Theater, and envisioned a similar venue in Detroit for the new psychedelic music and a resource for local teenagers. Performances of this period were frequently advertised by the distinctive psychedelic handbills of Gary Grimshaw and Carl Lundgren. The Grande's rock and roll counter cultural experience was extensively documented by Detroit photographer Leni Sinclair. It was during this period that the Ballroom became known as the "hippie capitalist center of Detroit". Since Gibb closed the Grande as a rock venue in 1972, the building has rarely been used and has fallen into a state of extreme disrepair. As of 2014, the historic club remains inactive and open to redevelopment More is BetterMost is BestPlease See PhotosLots of PicturesView PhotographsBe CarefulTake Care Please look see lots of photos :CURIO: something considered novel, rare, or bizarre: the unusual or bizarre Rare and Strange Items that Evoke and QuirkyBits and Pieces of Oddities from Hawaii and San Francisco11:11 CURIOS Click it Before Someone Else DoesEverything Sells Sooner or Later Curios 11:11 Please do your own research before you bid. Shows ! : Very-Rare !!!The Amazing ! Grateful Dead 1990 Summer Tour Venue-Specific " Chicago ! " Tour Shirt ! for the World Amphitheatre Shows - The ' Last & Final ' Brent Mydland Shows G.D. Ever - in Ultra-Rare ' White ' !!!!!Grateful Dead Fans !!! ... quite possibly from the Windy City itself, from the Grate ! Mid West -- and naturally ..... Brent Fans !! As offered here proudly is one of the Ultimate ! Grateful Dead Shirts of All-Time - from the Massive ! '90 Summer Tour - which, as we all know was sadly the Last & Final run of Dead Shows ... featuring the one & only Brent Mydland. All the way from 4/22/1979 to 7/23/1990 here in Chicago, at the World Amphitheatre Show run ... Brent was a beyond-huge part of the Live Grateful Dead Cosmic Glue - that still sticks unmatched in the ears, memories, mind & soul for so many Dead Fans - and the Brent Fan Faithful ! Brent's presence musically, and in spirit is without any shadow of a doubt - a Massive ! part of the Grateful Dead Era that many Dead Fans arguably consider to be the very-best ... The '80's !!! And really 1979 to 1990, to be super specific ... Brent's 10+ Year Long Strange Trip - as a quintessential part of the Good Ol' 1980's ! Grateful Dead. Brent's shockingly untimely passing was on 7/26/1990 at home in California, just 3-days after his last 7/23/90 Summer Tour Show - which was also the Last & Final Show of the '90 Summer Tour. And, in the personal opinion of myself ... Brent had more Rock & Roll Passion and Soul in his little pinky finger, than most musicians could ever dream of. I mean after all - Brent sung 4 of the 9 songs on the Last & Final Album of the Grateful Dead - Built To Last in 1989. Hence, the Power ! of this " Prime " 1989-1990 Era of the Grateful Dead -- with very few musicians out there who could actually push & inspire Garcia ... Brent was one of those - and really, one of the main ones. Though the live touring machine of the Grateful Dead did their very-very best to regroup for the Fans, Themselves, and for Rock & Roll - and hit some true heights on later Tours, the likes of '91 Spring, '91 Summer, the '93 Touring-year, and a few others of note ... it's quite hard to say it was really ever the same without Brent. Tough obviously on Jerry, and really every single one of the Boys in the Band. But, as the saying goes I suppose ... All things must pass. Point being, that is the importance of this incredible G.D. Tour Shirt - from Summer Tour '90, the Last & Final Chicago stand of the Brent-Era. Made & sold at these Shows in both White and Tie Dye at these World Shows ... here well over 25-years later - this " White " Shirt version is the rarest by far, as with many of the best of the best G.D. Liquid Blue " Venue-Specific " Tour Shirts from the Grateful Dead 1990's Era. A Ultra-Colorful ! Ice Cream Cone ... Melting ! both it's Face !! - and Yours !!! I must say that the " Supplication " on that '93 Shoreline day - was pretty darn memorable too !! ... Whoa !!!?!!! Bobby Weir Delivering ! the Grateful Goods to the California Shoreline Dead Fan Faithful ! Wow ... But seriously, I was like - Whoa ??! Where did you get that ... and he was like - nowhere super special man, just at the Merch. Stand. You can imagine what it was like seeing this clever G.D. Black Beauty ! for the very 1st time ... I mean check out the photos ! It features a wonderfully creative 9-part segment inside a ' Grid ' that shows the Prehistoric > Modern Evolution of the " Bertha " Skull & Roses itself ! And as far as I'm concerned ... it's a True Story ! Ha !! I mean it's all Black & White in this scene too - until Bertha arrives ( " Evolves ! " ) wearing a Blue Ribbon with Red Roses in her Hair ! And underneath ... written in what looks like kind of a Bone-like font ... Grateful Dead !!! And on the back side ... the ' Complete ' Evolution of the Bertha Skeleton ! ... evolving into what looks like Dancin' at a Dead Show !! Well, that seems to me to just be about right ! Right on ... Possibly during a mean & nasty China > Rider transition, perhaps ? Ha ! I mean check it out, as this is a full-on 4-legged to 2-legged Evolution here - obviously going Way-Back ! And below ... you bet -- " What A Long Strange trip It's Been !!! " -- WALSTIB !!!!! Oh my. And above, a Very-Cool ! Skull & Rose design with a Blue 13-point Bolt ! Wow, I wish we'd seen more of this design on stickers, tape covers & what have you - back in the day. Very-Nice !! David Opie is credited for this Amazingly clever design, with 1993 GDM, Inc. written beside. And last but definitely not least ... the ' Black ' T-Shirt ! Yeah, Jerry style ... Acquire this Epic ! Grateful Dead Shirt, and you'll have a new G.D. Fashion Best Friend for certain. I love this one ... if you already can't tell. Enjoy !!!!!This is a Brand New !
