Owsley Stanley Signed Grateful Dead Silver Belt Buckle #6 mold.
Original Silver Steal Your Face belt buckle by Owsley StanleyMade in 1983 for friends and family of the gratest show on earth, the Grateful Dead. This came from Bear's #6 mold. The numbers were Bear's way of doing quality control. There were 6 miles total, and if a buckle came out a a flaw, then the number on the back just let him know which of the 6 molds was having a problem. So a #6 is not worth less than a #2, etc. they are all as valuable as each other.
In last few years, fakes have hit the eBay market. As with anything valuable, eventually someone will attempt a knock-off.
Phil Lesh acknowledged his gratitude for how well my brother and his family cared for Jerry in his book " Searching for the Sound" Vince and his family occasionally lived with Jerry over the years.. we have been selling lifetime prints, artist proofs ,press proofs, first editions , which Jerry scrutinized the proofs very carefully before he gave his final approval to be printed. These have come out of my personal collection that have been in storage for many years after Jerry's death. This photo we have just done covered in our storage and want to offer it to someone that can appreciate it. My brother Vince has stated in the certificate personally witnessed Jerry signing this photograph. And I stated the picture was taken by Herb " Herbie " Greene.

Original Grateful Dead head shop poster Bob Fried art of rock 2.190 no reserve
Where there were pieces missing (upper left corner, lower right corner, a crescent bit approx. The finished product was now entirely stable enough to handle, and looking quite presentable. I had imagined hanging it from a ridge-beam, in a room of my house with vaulted ceilings, and lots of South-West facing windows; Up high enough to catch the afternoon light, and just far enough out of reach to impress my friends, without giving them the opportunity to study the flaws up close. But the new owner will undoubtedly have plans of their own. ).

Grateful Dead Tulsa 1979 Poster....Very Rare
This poster is from a show in Tulsa, Oklahoma, February 6, 1979. The date of the show saw a very bad blizzard that resulted in several of these posters not being hung because there was some doubt the show would even take place. This is one of those posters that didn't get hung up. I guess they didn't know the Dead and the Deadheads. Granted only about 1/3 of the place was full, but the show must go on. Aside from the obvious draw of the iconic Steal Your Face image, this poster is a must for collectors. There are only a handful of these posters in existence (less than 10 known copies)- they exist because they were not hung up for a show they didn't expect people to attend. The poster has a high gloss coating to protect it as it was meant to be hung outdoors. This poster is in remarkable condition. This poster is from one of the few shows where there is no known tape...very rare for post-1976 shows. From the Dead's website: "A rare show for sure! Myself and six friends drove in a blizzard of a snow storm...Due to the weather, the attendance was really sparse."

Measures 27 x 20 in.- APPRAISED AT ~$1,200.00 -About Stanley Mouse & Alton KelleyStanley George Miller (born October 10, 1940), better known as Mouse and Stanley Mouse, is an American artist, notable for his 1960s psychedelic rock concert poster designs for the Grateful Dead and Journey albums cover art as well as many others. In 1965, Mouse traveled to San Francisco, California with a group of art school friends. Settling initially in Oakland, Mouse met Alton Kelley. Kelley, a self-taught artist, had recently arrived from Virginia City, Nevada, where he had joined a group of hippies who called themselves the Red Dog Saloon gang. Upon arrival in San Francisco Kelley and other veterans of the gang renamed themselves The Family Dog, and began producing rock music dances. In 1966, when Chet Helms assumed leadership of the group and began promoting the dances at the Avalon Ballroom, Mouse and Kelley began working together to produce posters for the events. Later the pair also produced posters for promoter Bill Graham and for other events in the psychedelic community. In 1967, Mouse collaborated with artists Kelley, Rick Griffin, Victor Moscoso and Wes Wilson to create the Berkeley Bonaparte Distribution Agency. Mouse and Kelley also worked together as lead artists at Mouse Studios and The Monster Company, producing album cover art for the bands Journey and Grateful Dead. The Monster Company also developed a profitable line of T-shirts, utilizing the four color process for silk screening. The psychedelic posters Mouse and Kelley produced were heavily influenced by Art Nouveau graphics, particularly the works of Alphonse Mucha and Edmund Joseph Sullivan. Material associated with psychedelics, such as Zig-Zag rolling papers, were also referenced. Producing posters advertising for such musical groups as Big Brother and the Holding Company, Quicksilver Messenger Service, and Grateful Dead led to meeting the musicians and making contacts that were later to prove fruitful.
